Internship Opportunity: Network Engineering and Wireless Installation

Mainely Wired a co-op / internship opportunity for a network savvy person (Cisco, Nortel, WaveWireless, Motorola, Alverion, Redline) with a good knowledge of Windows and Mac systems who is willing to accept the challenge of completing a co-op / internship at a rapidly growing wireless broadband provider in Maine.

We offer a solid exposure to all levels of wireless broadband network / computer service operations. All our team members are involved on a daily basis in direct customer contact, design proposals, network engineering solutions (both WAN & LAN at 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz) as well as installation and service operations.

All team members are more or less self energized and are expected to accept a high level of responsibility almost immediately upon joining the team. At the present time our rate of growth in the broadband starved areas of Maine is limited only by the number of technical personnel available to help us tackle the challenges of design, engineering, installation and service of our systems.

Desired, but not Required, Skills

• Knowledge of Windows and Mac systems
• An interest in networking, wireless systems, and computers
• A background as a satellite, cellular, phone, or computer technician
• High School Diploma or equivelant
• Post-secondary courses in business or computer science
